This is another shot from our trip to Hawaii this winter. I don't have any good photo editing software, so for now this photo will stay as is. Hopefully I will be able to do some touch up later.

Hilo reminded me of Eureka in a lot of ways- a rundown hometown kind of feeling. Many parking lots had one car and a strong smell of pot. So, after walking past the faded glory of hotels and crazy cat ladies, we were confronted with the Japanese gardens. Not half dead and full of trash as I had expected, but a place of grace, and oasis of beauty. Here, the sould of Hilo was expressed in simplicity and humility.
